I may pootle up to the Lakes. Never been there in summertime but Coniston Water is one of the most beautiful places on Earth.

Folks have just bought a place in France so probably spend a fair bit of time down there, oh and booked up our annual 2 weeks in Mexico.

11 nights at a 5* hotel in say Alpbach will cost somewhere in the region of £850 per person, incl scheduled flights. Car hire through Budget car rentals ( we got a brand new Golf 1.9TDI) will cost about £250

therefore for £1100 pp for a fabulous time...meals are normally four course with choice of mains ( was 4 choices each course last year)

Austria in the Summer is absolutely fabulous.
