Born and raised in Brighton. Had to move away to London for work 11 years ago, where I still am. If I live that long, I'll be retiring back there though - I still call it 'home'.

The simplified poll results (so far):-

One third of NSC users were born in Sussex and have lived here all their lives.

One third were born in Sussex and have moved out of the county at some time (and some of them have returned)

One third were born outside Sussex.

"Outside the country" IS "outside the county".

Unless you go along with the new Euro-style regional map which has a place called "Rives-Manche".

This includes:- East Sussex; Brighton and Hove; Kent; Medway; Seine-Maritime (in Upper Normandy); Somme (in Picardy); Nord and Pas-de-Calais (in Nord-Pas-de-Calais). But it doesn't include West Sussex.

Which is why I selected option 2.

And no, I don't go along with the new map, not unless East Sussex residents get to buy Sancerre for 4 quid a bottle and the smoking of Gitannes in public places becomes complusory. Then I'll be home like :censored: off a shovel.

Meopham, Kent.
Left Sussex to go to University in London. Didn't think I'd be away for long. Hmm, that was in 1992.
