Where did we finish in the first and second season you started going to games?

Last at Goldstone was my first season and then Gillingham second, so 23rd and 23rd

1960-61: 16th in FL2
1961-62: 22nd in FL2 and relegated

Can't say I was ever concerned about our league position; just wanted to be entertained, much as now really.

1969-70 Fifth if my memory serves. Freddie Goodwin then went off to Manager Birmingham.
1970-71 Nineteenth, Pat Saward was the manager.

Just stayed up in 88-89 and 89-90 in the old 2nd Div. Season after was the play offs of 91

Snap! We finished about 18th-20th both seasons I think.

I started going regularly in the 85/86 season....we finished 11th in the second division
86/87 season....last in the second division

87/88 was my favourite year of supporting Brighton.

That was my first full season watching The Albion, even during recent seasons winning leagues and play off final etc i dont think this season has been beaten, probably sticks in my mind more because it was my first season. Second season we managed to stay up in old div 2 after losing something like the first 8 games in a row if i remember rightly.

My 1st ever game was against scarboro in F.A. cup 3rd round tie at the goldstone 1978 where we won 3-0 in front of over 18,000 fans.I was in the west stand with my bro and dad... that year we finished 4th and went up the following season to the promised land.
