When was last time a manager appointment excited you?

I cannot recall last time I was this excited, tho I was on the return of Micky Adams, Slades appointment didnt fill me with hope, but he is still a semi hero!

None of those that have been mentioned excited me as much the last Ex Spurs midfielder Alan Mullery and now Gus Poyet. This shows our intent and ambition for the future well done TB.

They're all exciting because there is the promise of something new, the potential for great things. There's also a sense of apprehension as well - have we done the right thing? Adams re-signing coupled with Wilkins dismissal was very weird for that reason.

This one is cool though. BEFORE we signed Poyet, I definitely thought he wasn't right, and there's several posts from me to that effect. Now though, I have to say this feels very cool. Taylor, Coppell, McGhee - all big names at the time, but compared to Poyet, no way near as cool.

Disclaimer: It will probably go tits up. Think West Ham when they signed Tevez and Mascherano.
