I don't have just one favourite.

My English teacher used to insist that, by definition, you could only ever have one favourite of anything.

The true definition of favourite being "preferred above all others", not most others.

Mind you, he was right twat.

Too many good ones to pick just one.

Greg Lake - I Believe In Father Christmas
Jona Lewie - Stop The Cavalry
John & Yoko - Happy Xmas (War Is Over)
Nat 'King' Cole - The Christmas Song

I have always liked this song, but am appalled driving to work this morning, to hear Crapital radio playing a live version by Ronan f***ing Keating and some other bint, whose name escapes me !

For fucks sake what is this world coming too ?

Shane McGowan and Kirsty would be turning in their graves.

Oh, sorry, just remembered Shanes not dead.....yet

One of the things that happens every Christmas over here at Firle is that all the local residents get invited up to the Big House by Lord Gage for some Christmas nibbles and a carol concert.

There is something truly wonderful about the good Viscount gathering his family round him for a rendition of Good King Wenceslas.

"Yonder peasant who is he?" creases me up every year.

:lolol:

Mike Oldfields In Dulce Jubilo always does it for me failing that Nat King Cole singing The Happiest Christmas Tree (ha ha ha, hee hee hee) get's me right in the mood

Now what would you have got at the bookies for that?

"I'll have 50 quid on Kirsty McCall to die before Shane McGowan"

"Certainly my good man, come this way, 50-1 ok for you? (rubs hands)"

Just goes to show....well something.

Across the pond
I rather like Queen's Thank God it's Christmas.
Band aid for the bringing together of artists in the name of a good cause.
Slade for the sheer madness of drunken Christmas get togethers.
