I wasn't even sure it was real till I read up a bit about it. They live up to 8 times longer than any other rodent, apparently.

Mole rats exhibit social structuring of an extraordinarily complex order - likened to what we see with bees. The Queen Rat has only a couple of male partners and the rest of the colony act as workers and remain entirely asexual, until an opening (fnarr fnarr) arises.

They are also homocoprophagous, i.e. they literally eat each others' shit. Honestly.
