I was going to ask that. Same applies to Turkey. Have been as far east as Lake Baikal in Russia and to Goreme in central Turkey, but not to most south or east Asian countries. I guess it stops countries being doble-counted in two categories though. Must be rare for someone (from UK/other Western country) to visit Siberia without going to Moscow first or Cappadocia without going via Istanbul.
