A friend of mine has a similar attitude to any sporting side he could be expected to support. Born and bred in Brighton but always laughs at any Albion misfortunes. Regularly watches Sussex play cricket but supports Durham? Loves football but is an 'ABE' type.

If Earth played Mars at nuclear war he would support the other side!

Mind you, come on the French!

Its because I am not french, theres lots of french words I cant spell..........in fact I can probably only spell about 5.

My mum is Welsh, my aunts are welsh, most of my cousins are Welsh, so although I was born in England, it is obvious who I will be supporting tomorrow.....

I don't really get the hatred for the welsh, scots and irish and to be fair I have never got any back other than a twat of a barman in Glasgow years ago that refused to serve me because I had a english accent. Saying that, I only knew there was a rugby tournament going on when england got knocked out the other day so I can't be very observant.

My wife is welsh and there's a bit of good banter between me and her family about nationalities but never malice.

same. Yep met a few twats who do the 'f*** England' thing in earnest, but they were twats. Like England doesn't have people like that....
