I heard of an instance in youth football u-13 or 14s where a team won a game then it was found out they played a player 3or 4 months too old for the age group but it seemed a genuine mistake. If you were the manager of the beaten team
Do you
A- forget it,you were beat.
B- report the team and so claim the match.
C.Have quiet word with the manager and tell him where hes gone wrong and to not play the boy again.
All hypothetical of course.

Report him, on a Sunday when we find a player is illegible it is cheating and if found out they are docked points and fined heavily.

B- even if it was a genuine mistake, it doesn't matter. They violated the rules and so should forfeit that match, regardless of whether or not it was intentional.

Beat up the kid that was too old. He knew how old he was and blatantly cheated. It's his fault.

Age groups are put in to protect boys so they should be reported at least it will stop them playing him again or at least make him play in the age group that he should.

If a player is "illegible", does that mean he has trouble reading the game?:jester: :jester:

C It's only schoolboy football and the results don't matter.
