Formula 1? Not just the drivers but a lot of backroom staff in successful teams seem to to be English/British.

Are we any good at Hockey?

Even our individual sportsmen seem to fall short. The only track and field athlete who ever does anything for Britain is the triple jumper Phillips Idowu.

And whilst we produce decent golfers, even the Irish seem to manage better.

Match fishing. The Drennan Team England match fishing team have won more gold medals in the last 15 years than any other team. Individually Bob Nudd has won gold four times and Alan Scotthorne five times. Last won gold in Spain 2010, Italy are probably Englands closest rivals and won this year on home teritory.
