Ok, so we had two right wingers - one goes, one comes - we still have two.

No decent attacking option in central midfield.

SAKE.

I hope this new fella proves to be a hit - but was it REALLY where we needed strengthening?

Thornhill is an attacking midfielder or have people forgotten him already?

Glad it's over to be honest. At our level it's little more than a glorified card game where someone discards some players and someone else picks up the discards in the vain hope it'll make their squad stronger. And after all the comings and goings of the summer is our squad REALLY stronger than it was at the end of last season? Results and the league table would suggest it isn't.

I know, I know, 'time to gel' etc etc etc. Anyway, this is Slade's team now, so let's hope for the best.

There will be more comings and goings when the loan window opens.

Tedious, insincere sensationalism, crap use of capitals...it must be deadline day now that I read that.

One of the most intelligent posts i've heard in a good while. It's all a circus, and, as you say, when the money has stopped - is there a substantial benefit for most clubs?

To be honest I feel a 17th place ( at best ) is all we can hope for.

The bookies who are no fools have pushed us out to 50/1 for the title from 14/1 so they have more or less written us off as any sort of force this season.
