Let's face it.None of us know bugger all about the country's finances and how to run them.Just because the media say it's a mess, and "independent auditors" are called in,doesn't mean anything, except this lot will ask the civil service to run it in a different way to the last lot.Just like the last lot did.

And that people like me,who preferred the other lots methods will rail against this lot, just as a lot of others on here rail against the last lot.

We're sure, though, between us,possibly, that there is a world recession, perhaps. And that getting out of the recession is the target, presumably.Which makes you wonder if those countries that have adopted the solutions of our last lot and are coming out of recession are being obtusely dumb,or whether there is ,in fact, method in the madness

Or not.

oh dear - the only reason Maggie sold off the state infrastructure was to sort out the defecit that the previous shit administration had left the country in. unfortunately we don't have that luxury now.

thank you labour - f***ing nobs

Well then, If the Tories are such beneficial and brilliant fiscal administrators, how come Snatcher could not sort out that defecit by " good management " ? Instead of flogging Britains heritage and future ?

Thank you Tories, knob hounds

Lets be clear this is just political spin.

The expenditure of the Government is open and transparent.

Bearing in mind that it is the biggest spending organisation in the UK, and one of the biggest in the world.

Only the top line information is only really demanded for and accessible for the Politicians.

The need for Independent AUDITORS?

I am not sure of the real gain here? The Govt. has its Civil Servants. Independent Auditors never and can never dig down as far as the real detail unless, eg PWC put all their officers into the case.

Its one of the Tories recent tricks, as they taken over every abministration in the UK over the last few years, they send out the same message to the electorate.

Pay PWC, and others £2000 per person per day to identif ABSOLUTE NOTHING THEY COULD NOT HAVE OBTAINED FROM iNDEPENDent OFFICERS.

We had PWC at the LDA when Boris came in

"Financial mess etc."
In came PWC.

A million pounds later.

Same statement PWC found this and that?

But the evidence proved otherwise. And when the media asked for details, they were told, it was confidential, actually it was because there wasn't any corruption or bad management to show. What Cameron and his henchmen, don't understand, is that

Public sector accounts are also privately audited. The LDA accounts were audited by one of the top 3 accounts firms in the world, DELOITTES.

In addition, the Audit Commision, EC will also come in and assess processes.

Look, if Cameron wants to bring in "experts" from outside the Civil Service to guide the new setting up of Departments and budgets.

If he wants an assessment (appraisal) of committed expenditure, just committed and pipeline. Then that's fine and good administration.

But that is not saying its all a mess.

Quite clearly it isn't since the World market still sees the Governement as one of the most financial stable and secured Goverments.

We are not Greece.
