Yes it was, Saturday 7th November 1959. 2:45 kick off - no floodlights in those days, and reserve games were played on Saturday afternoons at the Goldstone when the first team were away.

And thanks to Tim Carder I have a copy of the programme. Some big names in that West Ham side. And the programme was expensive - 2d !
