Talking of Cricket, I see Yorkshire just avoided relegation....must be a new experience for them all, after all they can't rely on their "Champions of Europe" to do that now can they?:D

"Just avoided relegation"

WTF are you talking about?

When Leeds appeal over the 15 point deduction this week , the FL should uphold its original decision and impose another 10 point deduction for taking the piss , just like Leicester did. It's feckin annoying that a club can write off nearly all its debt and then go on a spending spree bringing in new players.

nothing to do with the fl anymore. will go through the fa now and an independent commission. leeds united 07 were never in admin which is what the 15 point penalty was for. it was a sale of the club. mr mawhinney tried to get the same legal team leeds07 have acting for them but we got there first, he has spat his dummy out in spectacular style now. should be hearing something about the outcome of this in the not so distant future.

Not since 2005.

Ok thanks, was trying to find some info on that. I knew 3 got relegated a few years ago, but didn't realise only 2 went down now.

Twaddle?

Yorkshire finished 23 points above Kent, and 2 points behind Hants.....I hardly called that "just avoiding relegation!!!!

OK, I don't claim to know cricket that well, but you can get a maximum of around 18 or so for a win?

Put that in footballing terms and they've scraped relegation by 4/5 points (1 win and a draw).

Irrelevant really, but either way they didn't have a great season:lolol:

We had a superb season!!!

Yorks were top of the championship for the majority of the season, had players returning to the club ( Goughie as captain) and have brought in four academy players, two of whom are being touted as possible England Players and really only fell apart ( as they did against Sussex) when Gillespie and Younis Khan went off on international duty and had Hoggy trying to get back into form following serious injury.

In the overall scheme of things, that is a fantastic result and bodes well for the future.

Sussex undoubtedly deserved to win the Championship as they were the best team over the season as a whole and have been so certainly for the last 5 years.

In light of today new thread (7/2/08) by our good friend Deductions.

I felt it only right to highlight this little thread by the man himself, when he felt that Leeds would walk this league.

Not looking so rosy now is it?

I was 50% correct, we did indeed come to Brighton and give you benders a good beating

I see your definition of a "good beating" must be completely different to mine. I guess after recent games, any sort of win for the "mighty" Leeds should be considered as a good beating

Yeah , only two goal scoring opportunities all game and scored from one of them. Now looks like the mighty Leeds wont even make the play offs.
