This is a player who couldnt get a game for any SPL /Div 2 side a few months back when Rangers release him and all of a sudden a good game against Celtic and he is worth £100K.

You cant blame McGhee for this one, its just another case of Football gone mad.

All I am trying to say is, when you pay £100k for a player, you are NOT going to get a tried and tested CCC standard striker....to a degree you are going to have to take a gamble....

Every player we get has to be untried and tested, because otherwise we couldn't afford them or attract them to the withers unless they are looking for a football retirement home!!

McGee has to take chances on players, it works on some Currie, Carole etc but not others Molango, Turienzo (possibly).

I don't think the club are stupid - if we did offer "six figures" it would have been dependent on appearances, whether we avoided relegation, etc, etc. Probably only say £40k - £50k up front, max.
