That's a lyric from one of my favourite songs, and I think it rings true in that everyone seems to have a song or songs that remind them of a special time in their life (good or bad). Could be a song they danced to at their school prom, maybe something that was played at a wedding or funeral, even a song that a departed loved one used to like, and so you're reminded of them whenever you hear it.
