The law on violent conduct is not what I saw happen so if that is the decision Friend has reached he is wrong

It was a blind challenge so I'd say that covers it.

I wasn’t trying to be patronising or condescending*, more trying to show incredulity. My post didn’t come across well so I apologise.

No worres. As I say, on viewing again, yes it’s prob a challenge. But it’s slightly down to subjection. The new handball rule is a bit hard to grasp too - the word ‘close’ is also subjectional. There were 2 pens at weekend that seemed ridiculous.

The club should challenge the violent conduct decision. It was an accident. It reminds me of Stephens at Middlesbrough. A player getting a nasty injury doesn’t prove dangerous play or violent conduct. Yes it was careless but the reason given for the red by PL is violent conduct which is a nonsense.
