I've not even heard of any of those programmes that are affected by SP1 let alone have them on my PC.
Macs are great if you want to spend OTT on a laptop, want to play the latest games a year after they have been released and great if you want to buy Microsoft products........oh wait, why do you want a Mac again if you are going to buy Microsoft Office anyway? :jester:

Thanks for that winning insight.

Anyway, I paid £400 for my laptop: a PC, running Vista. It's not perfect, but it does rather nicely for surfing the web, odds and sods of work using MS Office, and organising my collection of music and pics.

For the cheapest Mac that does the same thing, I would have paid £999.

I hate to sound all MYOB, kids, but it's a bit of a no-brainer.

Ive just had to do a full system restore on my vista because an update didnt download properly - have turned off all updates now!
