I haven't seen a Vicente thread for ages so I thought I would start one. When will we find out if we got the dagger for another season, how long the players on holiday for and when does the window open

Him staying will be so much better than signing anyone new. However, signing some new players as well will be like a christmas bonus

I love Vicente and want him to stay, but his return to the starting line up and his run in the side has been matched by our awful end to the season. Just saying

From Gus's own comments he says that Vicente will make up his mind this summer if we bring in quality players to play with him. Im sure there might be more twists and turns as the summer progresses but if we are keeping the likes of dicker, painter, harley etc.. and not placing them on the transfer list then i fear we will never see Vicente again. Lets hope the right thing happens or I think next season could be very tough indeed.

Who says Reading want him ? The only place I've seen this rumour is on here ? I'd wager that if he does leave then it won't be to Reading, more likely back to Spain.

I thought once we got him fit and playing regularly we would be challenging but it seems to have had an adverse affect. I'm not blaming him for our results but we have kinda resorted to a 1 man team sort of tactic where we give the ball to Vicente, this has backfired as our results suggest.

I want him to stay for as long as possible but we need to learn how to use him to get the best out of the team

There is only so much you can get from league 1 players in the championship. To get the best out of vicente you need more quality as Gus has rightly pointed out. If we stick with the majority of the league 1 squad next year we wont be losing just him but numerous league positions too. Personally i dont think for 1 minute we will not buy better players.

OFC - you are correct! But it doesnt mean that i will be happy if we do not try and buy more quality players. IMO - this club is going places and that wont happen. Over the next 4 years or so i think we will become a prem side. Any one got any odds on Brighton being promoted in the next 4 seasons?
