It takes ages when you have to get two buses. I used to get the bus from Whitehawk to the Old Steine and then another to Surrenden Road which sometimes used to take about an hour altogether , but this was back in the 1970's. I remember there used to be a school bus laid on in the afternoon and we all piled out after the bell to try and squeeze on it because the next 5 would be full up (with Margaret Hardy pupils) and whizz past the bus stop. Those were the days when it was still a boys Grammar school but in my 4th year it became a mixed high school and it went downhill from there.Gwylan said:How the hell can you be in Brighton and take 90 minutes to get there?
