Blimey. What do you think he's got planned for the presser before Palace away?

'I'm from a family of Nazi war criminals...'

That should stop anyone talking about the Amex game or the likely formation.

The guy is a genius.

1. Attention taken away from the players for tomorrow.
2. Generates enough media attention for tomorrow, that Saints fans will be silent, not wishing to look bad with an afternoon of Monkey and Gay chants.
3. Increases his hero status amongst all Uruguayan players, ahead of Suarez signing to join Forlan who will surely now arrive in January.
4. Slows down the attention from big clubs in Gus, because they will be nervy about him in interviews. This leaves him clear of mind to concentrate on teh many years ahead of him at teh Albion.

The man is brilliant beyond words.

AND...Saints fans always talk about him looking like a monkey.

Just think how bad that's going to look when they lay into him tomorrow.

Is there no end to his genius work?

Wasn't that Huddersfield?

5. All the Brighton players will want to rally round Gus and take the heat off him by destroying Southampton.

* Just like 2 years ago when he came to the club, all attention on him whilst the players pull off a win against the odds.

This thread has cheered me up no end. Having sat reading all the Twitter abuse for the last few hours.

...to take the focus away from his players ahead of a big game.

Straight from the top drawer of management, and on a par with the greats like Clough, Fergie and Mourinho.

All bodes well for tomorrow.

haha, that's definitely a positive way to look at it. Doesn't it also shift all the attention away from Southampton and on to Brighton though?
