Is the transport manager aware of this thread?

http://nortr3nixy.nimpr.uk/showthread.php?295797-Car-parking-and-stewarding

If he's not, he should be made aware of it.

There are some pretty sensible guys on this thread, long standing STHs who are now considering not renewing because of the transport issues at the Amex (and lots more who are giving evening games a miss - more lost revenue)

We all know Monday was particularly bad because of the weather (but remember the stadium was only at two thirds capacity) but the shambles that was the University parking needs investigating IMO.

Add in the flippant, condescending and downright arrogant attitude of the club's Transport Manager and you have a lot of unhappy 'customers'.

I feel sorry for Paul Barber, having to answer a stream of emails, when surely it should be the transport manager who should be looking into the issues raised?

There are loads of ways that transport to/from The Amex could be improved without costing the club any money. In fact the number of stewards could be reduced, do we really need EIGHT stewards standing under two umbrellas having a chat?

There are some excellent stewards, the girl who ensures the P &R busses at Mill Road are full is great.

How about setting up a meeting with the transport manager and a group of fans who use different methods of transport?

P&R, uni parking, trains, Bennett's field,Bridge car park, local busses etc...

Unfortunately, at the moment, any suggestion or constructive suggestions are answered with a 'there are no problems, everything is fine, attitude'.

Well clearly it's not, and it's going to cost the club, in terms of attendances, and money.

Thanks in advance for your reply.

Thanks for the feedback, I have passed on your concerns. We have reviewed parking in response to various fan feedback and will continue to review and re-evaluate - and look at a way to allow fans to provide feedback, etc, including possibility of a working party, focus group etc, which would be an excellent idea.
