M.Owen will sign. Shortly after injure himself by falling from the front row of the wsu and we will sign Forlan as replacement.

Its not rocket science FFS, now's when the cattle market starts......Read between the lines of Gus's interviews, he has earmarked his targets prior to "proper" season training which he quoted as starting on Saturday !! Our Gus has a busy few days ahead of him to finalise these deals and would imagine for the first week, his concentration will be on this

the transfer window opens 2mow officially so next week could be the start of players signing for us

from The Argus..........Poyet is pursuing four main targets as he looks for additions in defence, midfield and attack.

What the hell has this got to do with the trains?
Unless all the new signings are going by train to meet Gus at the Amex

Edit: this was moved from the train thread, so no, I haven't gone mad.... yet.

Today is the day for all the players who are desperately wanted by loads of clubs to sign for the highest (overpaying) bidder. It's a player's market for a couple of weeks. Then the clubs will start to have players willing to sign for fair money, and it's a long way into August before players will be clamouring to come to the Amex rather than wait and get their best offer.

Transfer window is already open, opens not to long after the season finishes (something like June 9th).

The confusion is player contracts run out on 30th June and thus you get a lot of moves from July 1st onwards.

Not so. The transfer window formally opens today. But transfers can effectively be done as soon as the last competitive game of the season is done.

Still the window opens formally today. No confusion here.
