I take that as nobody then!!

How are you all getting to Reading ?

This train gets you into Reading at 12.37, perfect!!

And its only £16 from Gatwick return.

I'll be on the same line, but catching a later train. Only £8 return from the Golden Ford!!!

Go to Paddington not Clapham/Waterloo/Gatwick!

Waterloo = Takes 80 minutes. Stops everywhere (20-odd stations) and only goes every 20 minutes.

Paddington = Takes 22/25 minutes. Stops only occasionally and there are direct trains. Reading-bound trains go every 3 minutes! :clap2:

All Virgin trains and everything from Paddington. The Waterloo/Clapham is a local line.

Direct train from Gatwick to Reading, takes about 90 mins.

Much easier than messing about on tube trains through London and its cheaper!

The best way to do it is change at Gatwick and get one from there. OK, they're slower trains, but it ends up being only marginally longer. And it saves you the pain of getting from Victoria to Paddington. You're on the train all the time, so you can just drink and chill, rather than wasting 40 mins or so struggling across London on a hot, crowded, sweaty tube that's wasted drinking time.

Brighton - Gatwick - Reading = :drink: :smokin:

Brighton - Victoria - Paddington - Reading = :shootself

I will be getting to Gatwick by 10.15, sinking a few pints in the pub in the South terminal, pick up a few cans from Whistle Stop head for the station in order to catch the 11.03 to Reading :drink: :drink: :drink:

Arrive in Reading 12.17
:drink:

I make the return trip from Reading to Brighton regularly and the easiest way is via Gatwick. No hassle of going through London and just 1 change.

I will be Wookie. Say Hello. (see my avatar) I take it you don't look like your avatar so I don't know what you look like. :lolol:

For info. Does everyone know that 4 or 3 people can travel for the price of 2 tomorrow. Apparently you just have to ask at the ticket office.

There are 7 of us going from Haywards Heath for £10.40 each!:)
