Tory meltdown incoming...

That an opinion of course which you are entitled to

In the case of Johnson, just an observation. A convicted criminal...

Johnson wasn’t on his list of two, I was responding to someone suggesting that we need people like Campbell in British Politics [emoji2357]

Perhaps you should address that to him directly using social media and including your real name and address and see where it gets you

Ah yes, Campbell.

What an example.

I thought Bojo wanted to give Carrie a job or was it the other way round?

I see Rory's podcast with Alastair Campbell still no.1 in the podcast charts. The more I listen, the more I think we really missed out.

I still can't believe how much damage Johnson has inflicted in the past 2 and a half years.

There is no getting away from it, we've entered into a spiral of decline. I fear for the future of our kids..

One upside maybe a written constitution

As much as I like Rory Stewart I don't think he's right as a leader. He's got a few quirks, he's already admitted smoking opium which I don't have a problem with personally but that's the sort of thing that can follow you around forever in politics, I dare say there's some more skeletons to be found.

His skillset is made for foreign secretory, but I think he'd be great as home secretary also - the home office has been going downhill ever since Blunkett left!

I wouldn’t be surprised if our current leader has done much worse than smoking opium……

Sounds like Johnson might be planning a snap general election... would be very interesting.

This is a threat Johnson is making to his party, don't try to kick me out, or I will give the public the option to kick all of you out. He could remain PM until a new leader was selected, even if he lost a no confidence vote, and in that time call an election. He is hoping they will give him time to move past all the shit, allow him to have the fight he is creating with the EU to look tough over, support Ukraine and slag Putin off, and get all the people who think waving the Union Flag and hating foreigners makes them a patriot, back onside.

that doesnt make any sense. would require Johnson to accept he's not supported. if he were to call an election it would be on the grounds he thinks he'll win it.

You can pretty much re arrange your last sentence there and get the truth in several versions!... incredible that a Cabinet Minister trying to get his bit on the side/nosher off in to a high paid government job suffers no enquiry from the press ? Oh, and a Tory MP got sacked for just viewing porn ...but hey ho !

I’d be extremely reticent about referring to anything involved in that story as “tasty” TBH

Little surprise Murdoch, Barclays and Rothermere no where near the story. Just think where they'd it was about a Labour PM committing sexual acts on the premises...

No, it's Johnson saying I will take the ball away if you don't allow me to be captain. There is only talk of a snap election to deter any attempts at changing the rules around how soon another confidence vote can be held, or pressure from statements calling for his resignation.
The more threatened a Tory MP feels about retaining their seat because of Johnsons never ending **** ups, the more likely they are to try and get him replaced, unless attempts to replace him bring about the GE at a time when there is widespread disgust with the party because of Johnson.
He is hoping the pressure on him from within his party will subside and that he can win the public over, but if it doesn't and he can't be PM, he doesn't care if Tories win or lose, he only cares about Boris Johnson.
