It's pathetic. Refs would have a lot more respect in these matters if they made the call one way or another at midday and stuck with it.

It's not as if they have no idea how the weather might change given this same scenario happens every season is it...?
If it gets called off we're bound to hear the same excuse "well the temperature dropped in the last hour".. yep - like it did last time, so MAKE THE DECISION EARLIER !

Should be OK, players don't usually start warm up until 2.15 (apart from keepers who generally start a bit earlier).

True, it's just they used to play in alot worse conditions and there rarely was any broken bones.

However, see your point - is it morally correct to potentially let someone's career end due to an unsafe pitch.
