It's important to give youth a chance, both Sam Adekugbe and Tyler Forbes have both been brought into the reserves and both should be looked at as being the 3rd choice back up for each fullback slot. Not much point bringing players in and having an academy if there's not ever going to be opportunity for them to progress.

We are in a much better position than when we started last season just suffering from a season where the late transfer window and the euros will mean most business will be completed when the season is underway. We are looking for fewer but higher quality players this summer which inevitably will mean the deals will come late in the window

I've been very impressed by Tony's resolve to see off bids, particularly for Dale and Knocky, long may it continue.

A central defender is most urgent, perhaps not for massive money though, and let's get someone like Assombalonga in up front.
