Christ getting banned from here - what a release from this dreadful addiction! It should be that the lesser the offence the longer the sentence imho - just to encourage people to get on with their lives.

A year's ban will do me nicely please mods if it could be arranged.

I know him and yes, he is only 18.

He also had only posted about 20 or 25 times so I don't think he realised that it was such a bad thing to do.

To be fair, it got a lot of positive feedback before it was wiped off

Many people look at NSC at work - if the image, or a log to the image, gets found under someone's name, then they could face disciplinary action, possibly the sack. All for opening an apparently innocent thread on NSC.

I make no apology for a year's ban. I was wavering over a permanent ban.

If you feel that my actions are wrong then perhaps you should not be using NSC either. No more discussion of this matter on here. Any continuation will see posting restrictions imposed.

I'm sorry but if you open that thread in a place of work where a picture could get you into trouble you shouldn't be on NSC at work in the first place!

I won't say anything else after this, but surely a thread entitled 'Those knockers on SSN' isn't likely to be an innocent thread

Also, if people have been allowed to view NSC at work, surely there's nothing they can do if a random image is put on the site.

Other than that, I'm not sure he'd bothered. Only usually views NSC rather than regularly posting.

The problem is SG is that if I had opened that at work following a complaint to Mod Central then I would have faced disciplinary action, so we take a hard line to hard core. My employer has just made 130 staff redundant and HR would LOVE IT ((c) Kevin Keegan) if they could get rid of people like me with spurious internet porn dismissals as there would be no redundancy costs.

It's common etiquette to put NSFW in the title to such threads, there wasn't one.

Another big supporter of the mods generally who sees this as an over-reaction. The thread title made it pretty clear what it was likely to be about, and if you opened that in the office and got into trouble, then you're an idiot.

And saying you can't talk about it any more, even in a rational way, is a bit like John Terry's heavy-handed legal attempt to stop everyone talking about him - and doomed to similar failure. Very poor.
