This bank charges thing

I was told that whilst i was still in New Z the law has now chanaged and that we can now claim back back overdraft fees over 12 quid.

Is this structly true and is it as simple as writing to your bank and claiming it back

help would be loved

to be fair all charges are explained in the small print and terms and conditions before you even use the account so its your own fault
