I reckon it's because they've changed the way they play. African teams used to be raw. They were fast, strong, powerful and direct. They played a bit like kids do: no fannying about, just always attacking and running at goal. Now they seem to have fallen into the trap of having to keep the ball and patiently work chances. It doesn't suit them as like England their players's strengths lie in different areas(IMO).

What amazes me is its pretty obvious we wont win the World Cup but being a football fan makes us become quite irrational so we still believe we have a good a chance as anyone.
