Ive lived in Brighton more years than Southampton, watching both teams on occasion. Rivalry is great but it always seems odd when fans try and slag off Saints by denying reality. Saints were in the prem for 27 years consecutively until 2005, then were relegated from the Championship in 2009. The ground holds 32,500. So yes, the sniping does sound a bit pathetic.
