dont think thats so far fetched, iirc the CO2 cycle (like the water cycle you get taught at school) does involve the trapped carbon being drawn down through subduction and re-entering the atmosphere through volcanos. (assuming you believe in all that tectonic wizardry)

No need to panic, this is quite normal. The Earth's Crust is constantly being subducted and re-formed. The Pacific ring of fire is currently the most active areas of plate movement but be aware that the Mediteranean Sea is slowly being crushed as the North African plate is sliding north in to Europe. Also, the Indian Plate is sliding North in to Asia which is producing The Himilayan mountain range.
Relax and be happy that we are on a reasonably stable tectonic plate, called a craton.

This is not a "conspiracy theory". It is how business and government have operated for years. It is worse than any conspiracy theorist could come up with. No-one is suggesting Global warming is not an issue, we are suggesting that it is being exploited.
