Thatcher won 3, Blair won 3 & Major won 1 which were all pretty obvious to predict.

The only close election out of the last 8 was in 1992, and they got wrong.

Depends where the party's support is growing or shrinking. The Conservatives could win Worthing by 5 or 10 thousand votes and only get one seat (same for Labour safe seats).

are you seriously suggesting the polls might have it "wrong" and Labour will be return with majority? even Labour doesnt think that, their senior MPs and the Dark Lord are heavily courting LibDems and advocating tactical voting.

What you have to realise Harty, is if Labour get in and introduce their 'Death Tax' then no-one can afford to die any more and you'll become an unemployment statistic!

The first 2 would give a tory overall majority. Anything over a 5% swing from Lab to Lib would really eat into Labour seats.
