I watched one of the UAF You Tube clips the other day and found the spectacle of nerdy middle class students, ageing lefties in local government and screaming monosyllabic harridans sad really. They had gone into central Birmingham to "protect" the Muslim community as if those tough Asian boys need protecting by these drips!

I don't doubt that they tried to latch onto disputes but their influence within the trades unions was marginal at that time. The Grunwick dispute was also far more to do with a group of poorly treated workers seeking to establish their right to unionise rather than that phantom "outsde agitators".
