When I used to work for BAA at Gatwick they used some of their staff as decoys to test out the efficiency of the various airport security systems. As you would expect some of those staff would get through undetected. My own view is that a lot of these systems only provide an illusion of security – it’s obviously better than nothing but a determined terrorist will eventually get through.
