I take my seat in the North Stand for the Cardiff match, but at the games I went to last season, Fan Zone made the hairs stand up on the back of my neck. Taking into account the Cardiff game will be the first game in MY seat, I can bet you a pound to a pinch of shit that I'll be the one in N1D, row C Seat 375 crying like a child with happiness. I bet there will be others, as I'm sure there was many at the beginning of last season.

What happened to the Haywards Heath town band, marching up and down,Sussex by the Sea,songs later appropriated by Monty Python, etc.

Or stay in the concourse - or have the Haywards Heath town band playing in the concourse, though the marching up and down could be a problem.

Not really sure what the OP is on about, fanzone starts around 15 minutes from kick off, its a bit of a laugh had some good pie shots last year, loads and loads of fans are still busy trying to get as much beer down their necks as they can before a 38 minute wait before the can join the queue again. The kids love it (somebody was moaning last week that we need to encourage next generations fans).

Then there is a gap and the BRILLIANT intro on the big screen (just wish they would extend the "Its the stuff of dream" to include the "its the stuff of champions" buts that's a minor thing) then, when the timing works it straight into SBTS and the players walk out - I personally love it.

I read this title as 'The start of a game loud music and porn girls'. You can imagine my disappointment when I realised my mistake.

Like Gullys Girls, matchdays at the Amex wouldnt be the same without them. Cant stand Fanzone as its the cheesiest thing ever, so i use that time to get a drink as the queues arent as long - looking at the positive side and all that.

Let's get back to the days of 6 blokes carrying a blanket around the pitch while everyone chucks shrapnel at them as hard as they can, with a dozen Boys Brigade lads picking up the misses.

and the Sally Ann band at halftime? you must be old! LOL

I think the build up at the Amex is about right. They've got the timing just right as well, it's not right before kickoff, and Gully's Girls are actually quite a bit before kickoff. Then you've got GOSBTS as the players run out, exactly what you want.

As cheesy as it is, I think the FanZone megamix helps the atmosphere. I like it. Gets everyone going ready for one of these:

I take my new seat right by you (row A though, a few along) and will also be crying like a child no doubt!

The whole fanzone thing gives me goosebumps, that's if I don't decide to have that naughty 2nd pie and pint! I love the whole match day experience. It's a thing of real beauty.

Another reason why the club should show the game on the tellies on the concourse.

Those of us that would rather drink can stay on the concourse and not have to bother those of you that want to watch all the pre match drivel.

Music too loud for my liking, then when interviewing former stars at halftime can hardly hear what is being said. Overall quality of the audio very poor where I sit at the top of WSU. Just in passing the audio from the TV on concourse is very, very poor. Gripe over. UTA

Agreed about the music volume, it should be incidental background music so we can chat, and people start warming up for the singing and stuff.
Blaring loud crap is forced down on us so you can't hear yourself think sometimes, and it actually spoils the prematch stuff going on down on the pitch as well.
