We will be herded into the lower section at the river end of the ground. The space we are given depends very much on how many tickets they’ve sold.
Last season I recall Coventry were only given the lower right section (they had less than 800 fans), but bigger clubs are often given the section above and to the side.
It could be a case of Mackems to the left, right and above us!!!
Be prepared for a large crowd and loads of noise, but also vast empty areas of the ground (28,000 in a ground which takes 49,000 tends to echo!)
Looking forward to this match more than any other!

They don't much make noise there, the OAPs library in town is noiser than the SOL on a matchday.

In fact playing away, is more like being at home at the Goldstone than playing at home at Withdean!

Their home crowds this season have been between 23,300 (Crewe) to almost 30,000 (Derby).

When they get ahead the whole stadium tends to sing - but they can be very quiet if they are playing badly or the away team score!

So we must make sure we thump them 1-0 ...!!!
