Very bracing to say the least !

Just been over Shoreham beach for my first swim in the sea this year.

Reasonable for the time of year, quite a chill still.

Left it late this year normally swim in the sea the first May bank holiday - that is usually freezing.

Have they moved those oil tankers yet?

I still can't swim in the English channel. I did so as a child, and saw a turd float past. I've never really wanted to again.

(Having said that, my dad swims in the sea most days during the summer. He once found a twenty pound note floating past).

I was swimming in the Sea yesterday in Dieppe. If you think the Channel is any warmer on the French side you are very much mistaken! I even managed to chaff my ball sack due to it retracting so violently!
