Disappointing read for the many people on here hoping for a smoking gun ..

Other than the fact that the UK doesn't know if Russia interfered in the Brexit vote because it never looked into it. No wonder we kept hearing there was no evidence of successful interference given that no evidence was ever sought.

No doubt you are happy for Johnson and co to accept Russian assistance and then just brush everything under the carpet and just carry on as if nothing has happened.

If this sort of corruption happened in another country it would be called tinpot, well welcome to Tinpot UK.

The likes of Cameron, May and Johnson should be made to answer for their incompetence and give full answers as to why they couldn't be bothered to look for evidence, it just smacks of conclusion.

No smoking gun if you don't look for one.

Pretty damning on this government, so corrupt now

Little wonder they chose to block it and then triy to gerrymander the committee chair.

observations from the response part, services have reallocated from Russian focus to wider threats due to terrorism, and had less money to do it. so more funding to the intelligence services? also noting they are split across three different ministers, maybe a single ministry for intelligence services is a solution.

Gotta laugh, the Tories accusing Corbyn of being a Russian spy while stuffing thousand of pounds of dirty money, stolen from the Russian people, into their own accounts.

Surely this must be acutely embarrassing for the Party of " Security, fiscal Probity and good Governance"?

Oh no, it's the Party of Boris Johnson now so they have no shame left really. This is just another item on the lengthening charge sheet of cock ups and corruption.

To think they were warning that a Corbyn led government would be in the pay of the Russians..... while advertising access to Ministers and Prime Ministers for the right donations. Truly shameful!

The problem is it was being reported in the media that the Tories were taking dirty Russian money for several years, it's just the majority of our electorate choose not to spend their time informing themselves about the true nature of the people who stand for office.

Most people would rather vote for that bloke who's a bit of a c*n*, occasionally funny and loves Britain so much he'd hang from a zipwire waving a Union Flag, rather than the other one that supported the IRA, hates the Queen and will tax you into oblivion.

Very true sir, i was no fan of Corbyn but the blatant corruption of the Tories is bloody breath taking.

No-one was expecting a 'smoking gun', let alone hoping for one. Those who were expecting one didn't know what they were on about, which I suspect also includes you.

Meanwhile, back in the real world, your casual dismissal of the UK refusing to investigate Russia's clear collusion in the EU Referendum says more about your attitude to democracy, the rule of law and your warped sense of patriotism than it does about the report. It shows that you've accepted - and worse, approve of - the various individuals' collective treason.

Funny isn’t it. Those most in favour of the Brexit project love to speak about British sovereignty – yet fall remarkably silent when presented with concrete evidence of foreign interference in our democracy.

Don't forget " Unelected Bureaucrats " having power over British politics ? The Prime Minstrel's guru, Mr Cummings ?

Isnt it equally funny that people against Brexit now have issues with foreign influence?

A staggering comment - shared history, culture, democratic institutions, NATO allies and some £274 billion trade with the EU versus no democracy, 75 years of hostility and a pawltry £6 billion of trade with Russia.
