Anyone here been to the Red Roaster Coffee House at the bottom of St James Street? I went yesterday and it was fantastic, miles better than these sterile outfits like Costa et al. Really nice old building with bags of character.

They even gave me free hot chocolate for the kids, and the coffee and cake was amazing.

I find the staff aloof and the clientele up themselves. Glad you enjoyed it though!:D

I thought, judging by the thread title, it was going to be the kind of club Frank Bough and Stan Collymore like to frequent, not a cafe

I can't stand the f***ing elitist staff that populate that place. They serve coffee for a living and yet look down their noses at me? Admittedly I suck cock for a living but that takes talent.

It's a great place, and the coffee is good and strong too, unlike the chains.

20 quid and it won't just be a mental image big boy.

i think of it as a sun-dried Levellers kind of place if you get my drift....
coffee is good, and i've always found the staff friendly
much rather spend my money in there than in starfucks etc.
