Much of PL football, behind the ‘product’ hype, is bang average. Great athleticism in closing down, covering the miles, set pieces goals and mistakes telling. Burnley matches stand out as attritional.

As expected - pony. What a turgid way to arrange a competition with hundreds of millions at stake. Watched two lots of 5 minutes and it hasn't helped my morale. Quite the opposite. Will be surprised if I watch more than 10 minutes later, either. Almost feel like I will be watching our games out of duty. Someone should have taken this season behind the wood shed weeks ago.
