Well I was born in 1984 so this is the best for me in living memory at least! Looked up 86 and that looks right, apparently we went out in the quarter finals then. If we could beat that and make it as far as the semis that would be ace. To be fair though, I can't see us getting any further now

Got this far in 1984 as well, and the commentators suggest we did in 1986 as well, but can't remember that

1984 beat Swansea, Liverpool, lost to Watford in 5th round

1986 beat Newcastle, Hull, Peterborough before losing to Southampton in 6th round

1983 played 8 games in the cup, presumably our record? the 5th round will be our 7th FA Cup game this season

If we're only counding "proper" rounds then yes, if not, I'm pretty sure we've been in the qualifying rounds a few times (1906 we were in the 4th qualifying round but I can't find details if that's were we started of not)

I think our record is 11 games.

In 1932, our application for the FA Cup was late, so we had to go through qualifying.

I'd love us to get a MASSIVE club like Southampton...

Arsenal at the Emirates would be my dream though.

Any northern team whose ground I haven't been to, so Everton, ManUtd or ManCIty. Alternatively, any Midlands team whose ground I haven't been to, so Brum, Villa, Wolves or Stoke. After that, I don't care.

Is it wrong to want another Championship side.

Reading
Burnley
Forest.

I'm loving turning over what we'd all want next years opponents to be.
