The most annoying part of this transfer for me is Gus's comment; "just something that didn't click". I find this a bit of a cop-out for either not knowing why someone doesn't fit your system, or glossing over an incompatibility (with management / the dressing room) that isn't going to be public knowledge.

I kinda feel like the main reason we never got to see the best of him is because he was never given that opportunity, so I'm only assuming that on the training ground he didn't do enough to earn that chance.

His attitude on the pitch was shocking

Can he play the play off matches, if palace cling on to 6th place?

Edit: Answered above.

If we're unfortunate enough to miss out on automatic promotion (and you're fortunate enough to get into the top 6) he won't be able to play against you at all this season.

According to the club the deal will be made permanent in the Summer. Dobbie won't play for Brighton again - he is a free elf.

I can't figure out who is doing who a favour here?

That depends.

If he plays like he previously did under Holloway, you'll probably have secured our promotion while paying his wages.

If he plays like he has done for you, you'll be the ones laughing.

He started a few games and was shite. His attitude looked poor and he obviously didn't impress in training. You won't hear that from a manager on the clubs website!

Stephen Dobbie=Palace cunt :tosser:

Once he pulls on that shirt, there is no coming back.

Luckily, I'd rather see Harley back than that useless lump.

This with bells on, would have been hard to see him back in the stripes when he came back of loan - so I'm happy he probably won't be returning.

Yes he will of course find form with them too, much worse than Murray joining them for me.

It's 93 days maximum according to FA rules and that cannot be extended unless there are extenuating circumstances that a panel has to agree on. The reason for the emergency loan is that as someone has already pointed out you cannot be registered permanently to more than 2 clubs in one season. So the longest he can stay at palace is until march 3rd ruling him out of all the play offs unless he plays for us! And he can't play against us either.

I also think Dobbie knew he was a panic buy when Gus thought CMS was off in the last window so wasn't fully committed to the cause as a result, good riddance he's shown us stuff all whilst he's been here so i hope he continues in the same vein with the caravanners.

this is the most pointless transfer of all time. Hopefully the wages can be put to some good use... maybe get Saha in or Bobby Z on loan?

For me its a couple of years too early to be sending our rejects to palace. Let the academy be built and the Albion in a higher league first, then we patronise the palace by sending down the players that don't make it at the Albion. But not yet, we risk another Murray situation and them getting promotion instead of us. However it does show the pecking order of things, you don't make it at the Albion, then a club like palace, with a half empty ground is where you might end up. Put it that way, and it sounds pretty good.

No. The loan is an emergency loan but it lasts until the end of the season.

No - I don't understand it either. Club have said so on Twitter.

May 3rd I reckon.

Apparantly cannot play against us on March 17th so no FFSDobbie.

In theory he can play for us in the playoffs, but in reality that won't happen I think, except in extreme need.

With Phillips, a good signing, and probably enough for Palace to scrape into the playoffs.

May I meant, oops. And May 3rd is the day before the final game of the season proper not including the play offs so technically it is a loan for the rest of the season minus 1 day.
