If us getting Darren Currie on a free transfer was "amongst the most desperate in the football league", then how do you describe Ipswich Town paying £250,000 for him just a few months later?

Still, at least Cardiff will be away from the relegation zone soon. I seem to remember Sam promising to "get out his chequebook" if Cardiff were still a relegation fight by January.
