I thought the ref had a good game.
Even for a chunky monkey.

He seemed very keen to keep things moving.
He was on top of any situation quickly, and happy just to give a good telling off.

Their nos 11 (I think) should be particularly grateful for his leniency.
But even then, if he'd been booked, a fair few others would have, too.

He was so fat that he barely moved out of the centre circle the whole game but he wasn't the worst ref we've had this season.

He let a few tackles go in which allowed the game to flow. Made a few silly mistakes but overall a good game

I think Martin (11) was very lucky not to see yellow.

I also thought he stopped play on a few occasions when we had a clear advantage to play on. Other than that I have seen way worse this season.

One of the better refs we have seen.He wasn't waving cards willy nilly like younger refs for basic tackles and instead of flashing cards would talk to the players and explain his decisions. He was regularly talking to the Captain(GG) and never lost control of the game.Sensible refereeing we have seen so rarely at the Amex.

Chunky monkey haha. Heard the expression so many times and it still makes me chuckle.
