BH2 - Definitely the Great War as others have said but, depending on when the book was actually written/published in 1937, it may have been George VI's royal title. His coronation was that year so he may still have been known as the DDDDDuuuuuuuuke of YYYYYorrrrrrrk.
BH4 - If the Q's about the Great Death (bubonic plague) then it'd be 1347/8 and Edward III.

Ushuaia in Tierra del Fuego, Argentina; Chile has a habitation, about the size of Broadbridge Heath, called Puerto Williams that's further south; they call it a "city" just to annoy the Argentinians.
Film1 - The book "African Queen" was written by CS Forrester of "Hornblower" fame, british actor was Robert Morley. Watched it on the flight back from Santiago - Katherine Hepburn was a looker in her time.
