Get another 150 on the board? This is only day 3 isn't it? We don't want to bat again, so let's bat them out of it and have two and a half days to run them over.

To be honest, I very much doubt we would have to bat again, even if we failed to add to our overnight total. I bloody love the Ashes. Shame it has ruptured my general sleeping patterns. I either stay awake for the first session and wake up in a cold sweat having dreamt we lost overnight (despite being day one) or wake up at silly o'clock to catch the final session and then act like a zombie for the rest of the day.

I know this sounds rather hopeful, but if we declare at lunch on say 550ish, I can see the Aussies collapsing (they know they can't bat out for 2 days and 2 sessions) and this game over tonight before I test out by Xmas gift egg poacher in the morning. Then end of an era retirement for Ponting after Sydney, with a 2-1 series win.

Sorry getting carried away with bold statement on the outcome!

I don't think there's any doubt about Colly's continuing usefulness in the one dayers but I might be tempted to go with Morgan for the India test series series. Either way he deserves to play Sydney.
