Sir, Further to the headline regarding the exodus of 10,000 Brighton and Hove familes from the town due to unaffordable housing, I feel the time has come for Brighton and Hove Council to introduce a local connection entry criteria for any one wishing to move to the city of Brighton and Hove.

Anyone who was not born in the twin cities or does not have a immediate family in the area and does not need to relocate due to work should be means tested to see what benifits they can bring to the city this should be done irrespective of wealth.

This may encourage the key workers we are soon as suggested to be deprived of, to move back.

The same formula could be used to discourage the high level of unmeployed and nusiance norterners who turn up in Brighton seeing it as a soft option and conregate around the St James street area.

I myself although Hove Born and Bred have to travel to the city of London every day to be able to afford a decent home in my place of birth.

Iwould love to, but because all the cockneys have driven the house prices up I simply cannot afford to live on a Brighton Salary and I work in specialist Reinsurance of which Brighton has no outlets.............oh apart form Riverstone (the old Sphere Drake) and boy do I not want to work there.
