A few years ago a girl I worked with got to the last 200 for the apprentice. Anyway a few months later we had to let her hmm hmm "further his career elsewhere".

When we told her (and were awaiting having to soften the blow with the 'it's not you it's us speech') he said, 'my one concern is that this is not good for the brand that is Jenny Smith*'

So we told her she was substandard and we couldn't justify keeping paying her money to entertain the team with her hilario stories about when he was a young sportswear model. My colleague also suggested that as brand, she was probably about on a par as Enron.

I think she benefited from the feedback.
