construction of the pitch does not begin until january. the first stage of which will be to dig trenches for the drainage pipes which are then back filled with shingle. The rootzone material will then be added on top of this and lazer leveled! At this point the irrigation system and undersoil heating pipes will go in. Would be looking to seed around the end of march so it has a good 'growing in period' before the first match. If the club are going to have a desso grassmaster pitch then it maybe that this will be added once the pitch is fairly established as the fibers are injected into the pitch from the surface. Hope this is of interest to some of you!

V V interesting. Do they take into account really anal stuff like the type of grass or type and acidity of the soil?
